Happy National Library Week!

It’s that time of year again to celebrate your library. April 10-16 is National Library Week, and the OU-Tulsa Library has a lot to celebrate with our new library building almost finished! Sometime this week visit a library and let a librarian know how much you appreciate the work they do to provide you with the information you need whether its for school or for leisure.

One way to spread your thanks is by participating in the Twitter haiku (or twaiku) contest sponsored by the American Library Association (ALA). Tweet a haiku about your love for libraries and you could win a $50 gift certificate for Amazon.com. Visit the ALA website for more information about the contest: http://www.ala.org/ala/conferencesevents/celebrationweeks/natlibraryweek/index.cfm

If you haven’t visited the library in a while, this week is the perfect time to start coming again and remind yourself of how invaluable libraries can be. And don’t forget the new OU-Tulsa Schusterman Library will open on May 31st!
