Finding evidence-based resources

The library offers several databases and resources that allow you to quickly and easily find evidence based materials. These include Dynamed, Ovid, PubMed, and CINAHL. You can find them all at the OU-Tulsa Library website.

Many of these databases will offer features that help you find evidence-based materials. For example, in Ovid, you can search the Cochrane databases to find systematic reviews, controlled trials, and much more.

Ovid Medline allows you to limit your search using search limiters that allow you to find specific types of publications, such literature reviews, systematic reviews, meta-analyses, randomized controlled trials, and more.

In PubMed, you can use the “Limits” link to narrow results to EBM articles: Systematic Reviews, Publication Types, Meta analysis, Practice Guidelines, Randomized Controlled Trials.
